What it is

Electrical stimulation delivers a controlled current through pads on the skin. Depending on the settings it can interrupt pain signalling or drive gentle muscle contraction to break a spasm cycle.

It is most often used as a supporting service in the same visit as an adjustment or decompression, calming an area down enough that the primary treatment holds better.

The Session

What the session is like.

  1. Pads placed

Electrodes positioned around the treatment area.

  2. Intensity set by you

Turned up until it feels like a strong tingle. It should never be uncomfortable.

  3. Fifteen minutes

Often run while heat is applied, immediately before hands-on treatment.
