Your first visit
Nobody gets thrown in at the deep end.
Most people arrive having never done any of this properly. Your first visit is built around that, and the pacing is set by you rather than by a protocol.

Reset Roadmap with Dr. Candy
30 minutes / $79. Meet one-on-one with Dr. Candy to talk through what you want from Reset — recovery, stress support, sleep, energy, or simply feeling more like yourself — and leave with a practical starting plan.
It is a wellness consultation rather than clinical care, and it books through the wellness flow like any other service.
Before you come in
Preparing for your visit
None of this is complicated, and the studio has spares of most things. Anything specific to the service you booked, we will cover with you when you arrive.
Bring
- Swimwear for sauna, plunge or contrast therapy
- Loose, comfortable clothing for compression, Zenthesia and stretch sessions
- Towels, water and toiletries are provided
Timing
- Arrive a few minutes early on your first visit
- Ten minutes is plenty after that
- Leave a buffer afterwards, especially for Zenthesia and Flowpresso
Food and water
- Something light one to two hours before
- Hydrate across the day rather than all at once beforehand
- Skip alcohol before any heat or cold session
Good to know
- Safety information specific to your service is covered when you arrive
- Tell us anything you would want us to know — there is no form to get ahead of
- Any service can be stopped at any point
If you are managing an ongoing condition, are pregnant, or are unsure whether any of this is appropriate for you, speak with your healthcare provider first. We are glad to talk to them about what a session involves. Chiropractic care is separate clinical care provided by Dr. Candy, LLC, booked on its own path, and it begins with a full consultation.
Questions
Questions people ask before booking
Before you arrive
Do I need any experience with cold or sauna?
No. Most people arrive having never done either properly. Your first visit includes a walkthrough of the space and the technique, and the pacing is set by you. Nobody is timed against anyone else.
What should I bring?
Swimwear if you are using the sauna or contrast therapy. Comfortable loose clothing for compression, Zenthesia, stretch sessions and chiropractic care. Towels, water and toiletries are provided.
How early should I get there?
A few minutes before your first appointment, so you can settle in and complete anything needed for the service you booked. There is no long intake to get through.
Should I eat beforehand?
Something light an hour or two before is ideal. A heavy meal immediately before heat or cold is uncomfortable, and arriving completely empty is worse. Hydrate properly during the day rather than drinking a liter in the parking lot.
During your session
How cold is the plunge, and how long do I have to stay in?
The plunge is part of contrast therapy rather than a separate booking. It is held in the range most of the research uses, and exposures are short by design. Two to three minutes is a full round for most people, and less than that on a first visit is completely normal. You can get out at any point.
Will someone be with me?
For contrast therapy, yes — someone guides your first sessions and stays in the room. Stretch + Breath Reset and the Reset Roadmap are guided throughout. Sauna, Zenthesia, SaunaDome and red light are in rooms of their own, with a member of the team nearby; compression is a room of three loungers rather than a single-guest space. Where a room is yours, you can also book it Together with guests you have chosen to come in with. We never place strangers in a private room together.
Can I combine services in one visit?
That is how most people use the studio. Contrast therapy then compression, red light onto the end of anything, a stretch and breath reset either side. We will help you sequence it so the order actually makes sense — or book the Reset Roadmap and plan it properly with Dr. Candy.
What if I do not like it?
Tell us and we will stop. Every service can be ended at any point, and there is no version of this where you are talked into staying in cold water you want to get out of.
Chiropractic care
Who provides chiropractic care at The Reset Studio?
Chiropractic services are provided by Dr. Candy Ellis through Dr. Candy, LLC, an independent professional practice operating within the studio. You book through us and experience one visit, and the clinical care is delivered under her license.
Do I need a chiropractic consultation before being adjusted?
Yes. Every chiropractic relationship starts with a full consultation covering history, movement assessment and orthopedic testing. Treatment follows an assessment, never precedes it.
Do you take insurance?
Insurance participation is confirmed at the time of booking. Contact us with your plan details before your first appointment and we will tell you exactly what applies.
What if chiropractic is not the right answer for my problem?
You will be told, and referred. An honest assessment that sends you elsewhere is a better outcome than a course of care that was never going to help.
Health and safety
Are there conditions that would rule these services out?
Some, yes. Pregnancy, cardiovascular conditions, uncontrolled blood pressure, certain medications, recent surgery and a small number of other circumstances affect whether heat, cold or compression are appropriate. We cover the safety information for the service you booked when you arrive, and we will talk anything through with you rather than leaving you to guess.
Should I check with my doctor first?
If you are managing an ongoing medical condition, are pregnant, or are unsure, yes. We are glad to speak with your provider about what a session involves.
How is the plunge water kept clean?
Continuous filtration and sanitation, with water quality tested and logged daily. The plunge is used across contrast sessions all day and is treated with the standards that implies.
Is there an age minimum?
Eighteen for independent booking. Younger clients can be seen with a parent or guardian present and, where relevant, appropriate clinical clearance.
Booking and memberships
How do I book?
Online through the booking link on any page, or by calling the studio. If you are not sure which service fits, book the Reset Roadmap with Dr. Candy and plan it properly. Booking any appointment means agreeing to our cancellation and no-show policy.
What is your cancellation policy?
Twenty-four hours or more of notice, and you can change or cancel without penalty. Between 12 and 24 hours, a late cancellation fee of 50% of the service price applies. Under 12 hours, or a no-show, is charged in full. Membership and prepaid service credits follow the same windows. The full terms, including late arrivals and exceptions, are on the Cancellation & No-Show Policy page.
Can I pause a membership?
Memberships run on a six-month commitment, so they are not paused on request the way a month-to-month plan would be. If something significant comes up, talk to us and we will work out what is fair.
Do sessions expire?
Unused membership service credits roll over for thirty days and no further. Each credit covers one eligible service, so if you use more than one service during the same studio visit, each service uses a separate credit.
